It took me forever on chat to get my font size back to normal again.
I believe it happened when I was changing my bands direction and while taking the band ends on and off, I 'must' have pressed something that messed it up.

It is a very commonly reported thing.
Watch tap twice with two fingers, iphone tap twice with three fingers will zoom in alarmingly if you have zoom turned on, and easily done when changing bands or cleaning.
One side benefit of the accidental "ultra-zoom" font is the ability to trigger a moderately loud "whoop-whoop" alarm (not as loud as the alarm on the Apple Watch Ultra)
1) get the "ultra-zoom" font (described above) on a non-Ultra watch
2) hold the the side button (not the crown) for a few seconds
3) the "whoop-whoop" sound will start
This can be used when you need attention from those nearby but are unable to speak
- Downside is that frequently the watch must be rebooted after doing this, but it is still useful in certain situations
