iTunes error message: We couldn't make your purchases available.

This has been an ongoing issue for over a year.

Signing in & out does nothing.

Deauthorizing & Reauthorizing does nothing.

Uninstalling & reinstalling the app does nothing.

Apple Support staff don't appear to be trained in Microsoft or Windows operating systems.

Apple Support staff continuously advise that they need to investigate the matter further, but still cannot provide a fix.

Apple Support staff can't confirm if this is an issue with the UPnP service being enable or disabled.

Apple Support staff can't confirm if this is an issue with TCP/UDP Protocols & WLAN port 3689.

When will this issue be resolved?

Windows, Windows 10

Hi. I recently found another workaround for this issue. On your pc, go to the “Store” tab and then once there click the link for “purchases”. On that screen it will show all purchased items not in your pc/mac library, viewable by selecting the desired media type (movies, music, etc). From here any items on the list can be clicked on and individually be added to your library.

I assume temporarily disabling the third party security software doesn't resolve the issue? Likely not relevant if a separate account worked as expected.

Can you download your purchases using a different computer at a different location and then transfer them to your own computer via a USB drive? Or download to an iOS device and then transfer purchases?

If the account record is broken in the iTunes Store somehow then I don't think anyone here is going to be able to help.

Purchase sharing (see How to share purchases with your family - Apple Support) allows one user to download unhidden past purchases from another user. This may or may not work for you depending on the way in which your current account is broken, but I am able to access the past purchases of the other members of my family, and they can access mine.

This is a user to user support forum. You will need to talk directly to Apple Support if you want further assistance from them.

This ongoing error effects all three PC’s on the same home network.

The iTunes library is shared successfully using iTunes Home Sharing.

Apple Support could not find or resolve the issue via Remove Access.

There is a Third Party security program installed.

A new iTunes account was created with an empty library.

Purchases were successfully processed, downloaded & later refunded.

Apple Support then requested a new email to access the iTunes account, which did not resolve the error.

There is an issue with the iTunes Store & the Apple ID/account & no one can find the error to provide a solution.

Read above : There is an issue with the iTunes Store & the Apple ID/account & no one can find the error to provide a solution.

I cannot make the purchases available on any other computer using the Apple ID.

I don’t have the available space on an iPhone for continuous downloads and transfers, but that still doesn’t resolve the error with the iTunes Store or the Apple ID.

As iTunes does not operate as advertised, as per Consumer Law, full refunds are to be provided.
