The first step in investigating a concern with AirPods volume is to ensure they are adjusted properly. The article Pause, skip, and adjust volume with your AirPods and AirPods Pro covers the steps to confirm that is correct.


Then, check to ensure the mesh covering the speakers is clean and free of any debris per How to clean your AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and EarPods.


If you suspect the AirPods are not responding properly after following the above suggestions, try to reset them using How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro as a guide.


Failing all of those steps, contact Apple Support directly if you believe your device is in need of service.
