Unable to save password for a certain app

I'm unable to actually save my password for the app 'schoolsoft' and have to click the 'passwords' tab and manually choose what login to use everytime I'm logged out of the app.

I've tried save the logins thru a few various URLs that are connected to the login page / schoolsoft and have found nothing to work.

The automatic login through the web browser works without any hassle though.

Password App not automatically popping up When passwords were a part of the Settings, when a website or an app asked for a username/password, an autofill line would appear on the keyboard. The new app does not do that. I have to start the password app and copy and paste items one by one (and every time I switch, it has to unlock). On some sites that it works, it is erratic: one out of 4-5 times it functions right. This is getting pretty frustrating. Is there a way to fix it or do we have to wait for the next releases of iOS and iPasOS?

Passwords app and previous passwords I think I’ve seen others with this issue already, but I wanted to vent my frustration that the Passwords app does not appear to give you access to previous passwords. Even assuming that nothing breaks on Apple’s side with updates to a password from the browser, some websites are not entirely ‘Apple Passwords Compatible’… For instance, I’ve just had it that my uni website reported a fault while processing a password change. This is reported after attempting the password change (after I clicked the ‘yes please update the stored password in my passwords app’). And now I am locked out. It seems absurd that I need to copy and record a password elsewhere before updating in the app in case stuff breaks. Am I doing something wrong (other than presuming that the app would work)?

App Specific Passwords I am trying to create an app specific password which I’ve easily done many times before, but today keep getting this pop up - and it’s unclear what I am supposed to do next. This has never happened before.

Not all apps allow that.
