What does a Graduation Cap icon in the status bar of my iPhone indicate?
In the status bar of my phone, instead of the location services arrow next to the time, I have a graduation cap 🎓 . What does that mean?

What an Interesting question! After doing some research, I’ve discovered that it is possible to create a Focus setting with a custom icon. That graduation cap is one of the icons you can select. I tested this and sure enough! That graduation cap shows up at the top of my screen.
To see if this is the case, open the Control Screen on your iPhone. If you see the graduation cap, tap it to turn off the focus. See my example below. If you did not set this up, perhaps someone else who had access to your phone set it up to celebrate your graduation? Either way, please let us know if this resolves the mystery of the graduation cap.
