Unable to remove flight status cards from lock screen

Unable to remove flight status from lock screen. I added airline boarding passes to my phone wallet and the lock screen asked if I wanted to track the live flight status on my lock screen, so I said yes. Flight is complete although I have to complete the return part in a few days. It’s sort of driving me crazy continuing to see the flight status on the lock screen everyday.

Already deleted the boarding passes in the wallet but the live activity on the lock screen wont go away. Tried restarting the phone, but that doesn’t make these cards go away.

  • Live Activities are designed to persist until the app signals completion (e.g., flight landed).
  • If the airline app doesn’t send a “completed” signal, the activity can linger indefinitely.
  • Deleting the Wallet pass doesn’t automatically cancel the Live Activity because it’s treated as a separate notification stream

  1. Go to Settings → Face ID & Passcode.
  2. Scroll down to Allow Access When Locked → toggle Live Activities off.
  3. Alternatively, go to Settings → [Airline App] → Live Activities and turn it off just for that app. This prevents future flight cards from sticking around.

Once you’ve ended the Live Activity and disabled it, restart your iPhone to ensure the lock screen refreshes.

No setting for live activity for the airline app. Had to turn off live activity completely. I restart the phone and the first thing I see is a prompt - allow live activity from wallet? That seems to suggest tar deleting the boarding pass in the wallet should have also removed the live activity.

i still see an airplane icon in the cutout area at the top of the screen.
