Is java needed and safe?
I downloaded it back on Catalina on an older MacBook 2-3 years ago. I no longer have the program or equipment I had that needed Java.
So, is it OK to delete Java from my M1 MacBook Air Ventura 16.something (most current as of today). Or is it required for my setup?

If you do not actively use JAVA, then you can delete it.
