Typed in URLs are not automatically the correct format link in my MacBook Air email messages

typed in urls are not automatically the correct format link in my email messages.

This is what the mail guide says they should do:

Include web links

In the Mail app on your Mac, do any of the following:

  • Enter a URL—such as apple.com—or paste a URL into your message. Mail automatically turns it into a link.

It is not clear what your issue is. What happens when you type in apple.com as described in your post? Does apple.com not type? It is under the email recipient's control whether or not a link in their received email is active or not. If you were to send me an email with links, none of the links in your email I received would work. Many email recipients disable links as a security measure.
