No DNS server

Hi

I have an AirPort Express set ‘join a wireless network’, just so I can give the TV a wired internet connection.

Been running fine, but now a flashing amber light. There’s still an internet connection.

Looked on airport utility and there’s a message re No DNS server. What’s going on?

No DNS server is a fancy way of saying that the Express does not have an Internet connection.

Power off the Express

Wait a minute

Power the Express back up

If no luck, power off your "main" Wi-Fi router

Power off the Express

Wait a minute

Power up the "main" Wi-Fi router

Wait another minute and then power up the AirPort Express

If still no luck, you will have to reset the Express back to factory default settings and then set it up again.
