IOS update problem Bugged out

Hi community, so I was about to update IOS to the latest one and the touch suddenly is not responding to any swipe I do even though I tried the force restart the phone. I opted to update the phone using itunes but the problem is I got stuck on the apple logo with the loading bar below it. However, it fails due to error -1. Support said I may have a full phone that's why the update wont push through. I tried a couple of times restarting both laptop and phone but to no avail. Even Update and Restore doesn't work. Now, my problem is how do I vacate space in my phone when I cant even access the phone on my laptop? Are there any remedies for this one? :(

iPhone 13, iOS 16

I was asking about DFU since it's the only way my PC can detect my phone. Is there a way I can backup my stuffs in that setting?

Backing Up in DFU Mode:

No. Restoring is the only option in DFU Mode. So, continue with the restore, as I mentioned: How to Fix an iPhone in a Boot Loop - Apple Support

Being Stuck in a Boot Loop:

Your iPhone is reportedly stuck in a boot loop. This typically happens when you unsuccessfully download something or an update install stalls.  So, refer to my User Tip: How to Fix an iPhone in a Boot Loop - Apple Support

Perform with iCloud:

If you enable items in iCloud Settings, and you have a large enough iCloud Plan, then you could upload it all to iCloud. Once uploaded, download all of iCloud to an external disk.  Perform my User Tip: Getting a Quick and Direct "iCloud Drive-to-External Hard Drive" Download - User Tip.

"Thank you for your patience but please extend that more. Would that be applicable even if I'm in dfu mode only since itunes can detect my phone only if I'm in dfu mode."

No. DFU Mode ( Device Firmware Upgrade ) has nothing to do with my User Tip.

As for Using iTunes:

For a Mac with macOS Catalina and after, iTunes is not an option. The TV app is for Movies and TV Shows, whereas the Music app is for Music. Learn More Here: What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support
