Why does my phone get hot all of a sudden.

System Settings>Battery. Your most energy consuming application will be listed at the top.

What are you doing when the phone gets hot? What environment are you in? Do you get the overheating, need to shut down warning? Or are you just feeling heat?

If it's too hot to hold, turn it off, unplug it and make arrangements to have it serviced. Avoid using it.
