I have tried different methods of trying to get my IPhone 10x to turn back on. The screen went dark today. I’ve been able to get the apple logo for a very short time but that’s it! I have a new phone coming tomorrow but how can I transfer my stuff?

My IPhone 10X went froze today. I’ve tried the suggestions and was able to get the Apple logo briefly but that’s it! I have a new phone coming tomorrow but is there a way to transfer my info when my phone won’t turn on?

If you have a backup of your previous device, whether it was created using iTunes or iCloud, you can easily restore it on your new device.

iTunes Backup: If you used iTunes/Finder to back up your old device, connect your new device to a computer with the latest version of iTunes installed. Launch iTunes/Finder and select your new device. Then, choose the option to restore from an iTunes backup and select the backup file you want to restore from. This will transfer all your data, settings, apps, and other content from the backup to your new device.

iCloud Backup: If you backed up your old device using iCloud, during the setup process of your new device, you will be prompted to sign in with your Apple ID. Make sure to use the same Apple ID that was used to create the iCloud backup. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to restore your new device from an iCloud backup. This will download and install all your backed-up data, including apps, settings, photos, messages, and more.

Restoring from a backup ensures that your new device will have the same content as your previous one, making the transition seamless and preserving your data.
