According to Use Launchpad to view and open apps on Mac:

Organize apps in Launchpad

  • Move an app on a page: Drag an app to a new location on the same page.
  • Move an app to another page: Drag the app to the edge of the screen, then release it when the page you want appears.
  • Create an app folder: Drag an app over another app.
  • Rename a folder: Click the folder to open it, click its name, then enter a new name.
  • Add an app to a folder: Drag the app over the folder.
  • Remove an app from a folder: Drag the app out of the folder.

If that is not working try "Renaming" while using Safe Mode.

Sure! Here's a condensed version:

  • Rearrange apps on the same page: Drag and drop an app to a new location.
  • Move apps to different pages: Drag an app to the edge of the screen and release it onto the desired page.
  • Create app folders: Drag one app onto another to automatically create a folder.
  • Rename folders: Click the folder, click its name, and enter a new name.
  • Add apps to folders: Drag an app onto a folder to include it.
  • Remove apps from folders: Drag an app out of the folder.
  • If issues persist, try renaming apps in Safe Mode.

These tips will help you better organize and manage your apps in Launchpad on your Mac.
