If it is Airprint compatible, it should work. Make sure your printer is able to get on your computer's WiFi network, and then see if it appears when you hold the Option key when adding the printer in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Printers. Otherwise visit your printer manufacturer's website to see if they have older drivers available.
