iPad won’t recognize Bluetooth headphones
Hi Fantasminity,
Just curious if you've been able to resolve your issue? I know it's been about 2 yrs since you first posted and the last reply referred you to Apple Support for assistance. However, I also ran into this same issue JUST recently with a pair of Bluetooth Thinkplus X3 Pro headphones from Lenovo. They just would NOT pair with my 5th gen iPad, but worked fine with my iPhone 12 Pro and all the other devices I attempted to pair with on these headphones. I finally figured it out and was able to resolve the issue by doing the following:
- Turn off your Bluetooth headset
- Disconnect AND Forget (or Remove) your Bluetooth headphones from ALL devices (You may even be able to do this from the headphones themselves - some makes/models have a button sequence that will cause the headphones to reset and disconnect / be forgotten by all devices it is currently connected to - see manufacturer website for more information)
- Check your Bluetooth headphones' instructions for turning on the headphones in "Pairing Mode"
- Turn on the headphones (in pairing mode) - most of the time the LED will flash blue & red
- Check your iPad's Bluetooth section and see if your headphones show up there; it might take a minute at most
- Pair your headphones with your iPad using the normal process
This fixed my issue, but ONLY after I COMPLETELY disconnected & removed them from ALL other devices that were connected to them.
I hope this helps.
