Pages app will not create a new document
Choose
File > New
Pages returns the error:
"Untitled" can't be opened right now.
The file format is invalid.
How do I fix this? Thanks.

Ah! I found the solution. This might work for anyone else experiencing the problem. Choose
Pages > Settings…
I had set a custom file for new documents, and that file had gone missing.
All I needed to do was click
Change Template…
