AirTag vs. gps watch
i want to get my 10 yr old son something to keep track for safety. He does not wear watch usually but want to see best first option for him. Too young for new phone. We live in Germany. Would appreciate feedback

airtag rely on bluetooth so the range is only around 30meters, they work by being able to piggybag on ios devices within bluetooth range with bluetooth enabled, and then send the gps cords of said ios device to your icloud so your phone can get a fixture, so if your kid is outside of bluetooth range of ios devices like if he runs into the woods, then the airtag will be dead in the water, sort of the same deal if you get the apple watch the non cellular model, when outside of wifi or bluetooth range it's dead in the water too.
