Volume Hash

I don't know what to do next. This MBPro running Ventura 13.2 continues to show a message - "Volume Hash Mismatch detected on disk1s1."

I've reinstalled the OS several times. I've had hours' long conversation by phone with Apple. And, I've had a computer consultant research.

There are no answers from these sources.

What does this all mean and what should be done, please?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.2

I've seen multiple reports of this error message on these forums. In the cases where users followed up with us, the issue was due to a memory failure requiring the Logic Board to be replaced.

You can try to perform a clean install of macOS by first erasing the drive followed by reinstalling macOS & restoring from a backup, but if the Mac has a memory failure, then the issue (or some other issue) will likely occur again. Unfortunately memory failures can be intermittent & hard to detect as even diagnostics may not always report a failure. You can try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

If as @HWTech as mentioned - RAM Module issue

Have put together some examples of Failed RAM Modules

If the RAM is the issue and hopefully not - suggest bringing along some of the posting below to Show the Tech Person

Some report the Tech Person has not even seen this before

It would require an Over Night Stress Test that only the Professional can perform

I just got this message for the first time today. I'm running Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1 on a 16-inch 2019 MacBook Pro. So far, I don't seem to be having any issues related to the message, but I'm concerned by what I'm reading here. Is there any update on what is causing this? What's my next step? Do I seriously need to wipe and do a clean install? It seems crazy to suggest that I have to get a new logic board when I've only had this computer for about three years.

I got the notification today on my 2017 MacBook Pro. This hasn't happened on my main computer, both running latest Ventura. The laptop has gotten a couple of error messages, such as Your computer restarted because of a problem, with a comment box. Of course I'm not aware of a problem. The most unusual message I got when I opened the laptop today: Problem Report for WindowServer. "WindowServer quit unexpectedly". Error report sent to Apple, so it said. Last night I had turned off wi-fi and left the Finder with no apps running. I closed the lid.
