I have been having trouble texting one person lately where all of my texts have not really been going through, they all started turning green yesterday. I don’t know what to do about this since I don’t believe I am blocked but I don’t have any other way of contacting them.

the issue is on their side and not you can imessage other iphone users, if it turns green then they probably have imessage turned off. Call and let them know.
my calls are not going through and almost immediately go straight to voicemail.
