I saw some old threads about this where the recommendation was to delete the Space and Flexible Space icons from the Edit Toolbar screen, but I can't seem to drag and drop these to the trash. Any ideas?

With the Customize Toolbar window open, can't you simply drag them off the Toolbar?
Mail Font Bar Menu is WAY off to the right and I can't get it back to center. Help!
