What is AKFollowUpServerUIExtension?

This popped up after I entered my phone number and hit "continue" under the "Enter your trusted phone number" in the setting in MacBook Pro setting.

It has been a couple of years since the last person ask this question but there is no firm answer as to whether this is safe or something malicious.

I have tried Googling for answers but to my surprise, there are no firm answers even after several years. No even official words from Apple.

Try signing out of iCloud and back in again

System Settings>AppleID>iCloud

Sign out of iCloud on Mac ...

If no resolve go to https://www.icloud.com/ and make your change—compare your results
