Inconsistent Volume Levels on iPhone 14 Pro: Alert and Ringtone Volume Mismatch Issue

I recently purchased an iPhone 14 Pro, and I'm encountering an issue with the volume settings. Although I have set the volume for both alerts and ringtones to the same level, they seem to be playing at different volumes. I have gone to the 'Settings' menu, then 'Sounds & Haptics,' and enabled the 'Change with Buttons' option, but the volume levels remain inconsistent. This inconsistency is quite frustrating, especially when I want the alert volume to be low but it's not behaving as expected.

I have tried various methods to resolve this issue, including restarting the phone, resetting the phone settings, and even erasing the phone and starting over from scratch. However, these attempts have not successfully resolved the problem.

This is one thing that Apple makes so difficult but could be so much easier. However, when I did some research, conducted my own experiments after being late several times for several important appointments, I think I finally get it. Lol. The best way I can explain it is, the iPhone’s volume buttons control the volume of media playback; videos, music and such.

I know you said that you went to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, and under the Ringer and Alerts slider you toggled the Change with Buttons to the on position. However, it is important to mention that when media is playing, the volume buttons revert to controlling the media. You’ll need to stop any kind of audio playback before you can control the ringer and/or alarm with the physical buttons again.

However, if you toggle that setting off, you will have a permanent ringer and alarm volume level that’s entirely separate from your iPhone’s buttons. This way you’ll never accidentally set your ringtone too loud or too quiet.

I have that setting toggled off & have not been late as of yet. I hope this helps!

Does your solution also FIX (!) that Suri voice is so extremely low, I can barely hear any sound even holding speaker to my ear?!

No other apps open / no media playing.

Suri used to work. Iphone 14 pro max bought new about two months ago. Stopped working just before latest update. Apple said update fixes - except that fixed nothing.

Thank you. ( my 2016 iphone SE works better!)

I'm having same problem, my ringer and volume does not match with the sound my iphone (13 pro max) is producing, i have to close the app for a couple of times so the volume button and volume slider will work, i dont have any problem with volume when im using apple music however when i open various apps like facebook, tiktok or instagram the volume is at maximum level sometimes, also my ringer most of the time does not match. I tried seeking help thru their tech support but he only told me to update my ios but i keep having the same problem.
