Some other users have also recently mentioned similar error messages on this forum.

I haven’t seen a broad general resolution here though.

- Please verify that the device system software is up-to-date.

- Verify that the Apple TV app is up-to-date, if not done automatically.

- Verify that your router or firewall doesn’t block Apple authentication servers, in case you made custom changes.

- Verify that your devices and router use a good DNS, like the one from your ISP, which gets updated with all the server names that Apple might use. Again, only applies if you made custom changes.

- Verify that your device has the correct date, time, and time zone, as Apple may be more strict about that than other content providers (for TLS secure connection reasons).

Else I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).

I was having this problem with Roku. I chatted with Apple and they couldn't do anything. I called Roku and they had me do these things:

  1. remove the apple tv+ app
  2. shut of and unplug the tv
  3. wait 30 seconds
  4. plug the TV back in
  5. reload the apple tv+ app.

It was then that I finally got the QR code so that I could login properly. They did do a reset on their side too, but I can finally watch Ted Lasso on my TV!

Got error code 65079E77 and MLS channels didn't play any video. Depending upon Roku versions, the menu was slightly different on my TV:

  1. On the Roku TV screen, select Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Network connection reset > Reset connection
  2. Open Apple TV app and then QR code display a six-char code
  3. Login with QR code or remote.

Apple TV MLS channels play well again.

I got error code 6472346C, which is different from the last time. I've been trying to login to our new Roku TV for a few days and it just won't verify. And I blame Apple I commented on another thread with over 1,000 people having the problem and nothing from Apple. I really think they just done care. I may just cancel. What's the point if I always have to go to my laptop to watch.

They want us to buy their device, well too bad. They have never played well with others. I'm not buying an Apple TV.
