To avoid poor quality with netflix streaming on a Apple TV use the ethernet connection (and not the wifi)! ;o)
I tried the Netflix app on my TV to compare the quality. Night and day - the Samsung looks like 1080P and the Apple TV version is consistently 480P quality.

Movies take several minutes to load and pixelates or stops while buffering. Using the standard service with 2 devices. I'm on ethernet to router with download of 450 and 35 upload. I have the Apple TV 4K and an another 1080P, problem is on both. No problem on MacBook with Intel and iPad light 4th gen. All other streaming services work perfectly on Apple TV. Spent 1 hour with Netflix customer support and went through all their troubleshooting procedures...nothing worked. From what I've seen on the internet, this is a big problem with Apple TV and not other streaming devices. Could this be a problem with the processor, or does Netflix have a competitive issue with Apple TV in general? If this doesn't get fixed soon, I'm just going to cancel Netflix.
