Keep macbook display on (and prevent stop) when lid is closed

Hi,

I'm searching a guide to prevent the system to go in sleep (easy, already found) AND KEEP THE DISPLAY ON when the lid is closed.

I'm aware of battery and heat issue, but I need to do that.

Thanks

Hi! I don’t believe there’s a way to do that. You could, however, turn on ‘Power Nap’, which ensures that background processes continue running even when the Mac is in Sleep mode: Turn Power Nap on or off on Mac - Apple Support.

The following tasks will continue while using battery power:

  • Checking for email in Mail
  • Updating events in Calendar and iCloud

Have a great day!
