PROBLEMS to playing video codec sony a7s3 at 100fps- macos ventura 13.4

After upgrading to version ventura 13.4, all video clips with the video codec of the sony a7s3 at 100 fps , videoCodec="AVC280_3840_2160_H422P@L6" captureFps="100p" formatFps="100p"/>

Can't see the image!!! I only hear the clip. the clip plays but you only hear it, BLACK SCREEN but with audio.

Happens to me in any apple player, quictime player or editing program, final cut pro x.

The Macos Ventura 13.4 and 13.5 operating system is not compatible with these files.

Be careful when upgrading.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Please help!

I found a solution... Ventura 13.1 it’s OK! 🥳

For this... you need to erase the HD and do a clean install.

I manually backed up some important files and created a terminal bootable USB stick with the OS 13.1 file.

Files recorded in 120 and mLut plugin (Final Cut) are working.

I called apple customer representative yesterday and reported the situation. I also showed it in the comments under this title.

As a professional digital content producer this can take a long time to be fixed by apple. I will not wait for this. This means a serious financial loss for me. So I backed up my entire disk and reinstalled the old version. But these procedures ruined an entire day.

We only had to wait two months for a solution of days... Thank you Apple, for making us lose days of work and having to explain to our customers that their material was temporarily lost, unless you had a PC to reencode the material or reinstall the machine from scratch with an older version of the system.

Thanks for nothing.

Confirmed, the new version 13.5 supports 100fps .mp4 and everything seems to be fine. :/

I've just spent an hour on the phone to Apple Support Australia, and they advised me that their global engineering department are UNAWARE of this issue and that there are no known updates/fixes on the horizon.

Their only advice was to report it via their feedback portal and to encourage as many others to do the same as their engineering teams do read and take note of reported bugs and issues but do not frequent these communities.

I joined the topic 1 month ago, then I restored the old version because I thought that Apple would not solve this problem immediately.

I noticed on the Apple website that I couldn't go back a version but download the major version change in name. (I think this is also a serious shortcoming. Apple forces us to find versions that we do not trust from other 3rd sites) So I found version 13.3.1 from a site and downloaded it. I can't remember which site it is at the moment. But I can create a link if you still need it.

Yes. There are numerous other posts on the same topic.

Be careful when upgrading.

Alas, that is only the correct solution.

For some time, I've been suggesting that people who depend on a Mac for their livelihoods maintain a separate Mac for testing software updates. That way, when something breaks, you have advance warning. You can continue to use your production system until the next version gets fixed. You can defer any updates to the production system until you are absolutely certain that everything is going to work.

This is the way.

This is the most significant problem I've ever experienced after an uipdate, just prior to Memorial Day weekend so certIainly won't be fixed immediate and is system wide. Since the update, Sony a7sIII video files at 100 or 120 fps not only will not appear in Final Cut Pro, they will not PLAY in Quicktime and most frustrating, will not PREVIEW using spacebar in Finder.

Considering how your developers have chosen to throttle other NLEs in favor of your bubbly magnetic timeline, this is asinine at this stage in the game and totally unacceptable from a company at the very top of the NYSE.

If Premiere Pro were even usable with this footage on ANY new Macbook Pro (1X or later) this would be enough to totally abandon this application.

Please fix this now. Professional people are depending on it.

Until this day, still NO SOLUTION! It is a serious issue as I see that there are many people who are going through THIS and that means paralyzing all production unless you perform a downgrade.

I don't know if anyone contemplates what we are losing....

Please let anyone who has this happen to keep calling apple and let them know.
