MacBook Pro 2019

My screen only works properly on a 45 degree angle or less otherwise I get lines on it. (ignore me backing up my computer since apple thinks it's a hardware issue.) I think it's a flex cable issue. which I have read is a very common and expensive issue to fix. Anyone have any thoughts?

2022 MacBook Pro 14" black vertical lines on screen My 2022 MacBook Pro 14” developed black vertical lines on the left half of the screen that move when I tilt the display. This happened from one day to the next, and there was no physical damage or abuse of the computer. The Apple Genius Bar said it’s a display cable issue, and offered a $800 screen replacement for a computer 55 days out of warranty. Are there any others who have experienced a similar problem? Note that I did not wedge anything between the screen and keyboard when closing the lid. If this is a known issue, Apple should issue a repair program.

MBP 2017 screen display issue 45 degree inclination Hello my MBP 2017 screen does not work anymore when inclination go further 45 degrees and sometimes not at all. it seems there is a cable issue inside the hinge applestore in france told me to pay 540 euros to replace the screen which will be guaranteed only for 90 days this is unbelievable !!!! does anyone know what to do

great job at debugging!

your display assembly is damaged, and will need to be replaced to restore normal function.

Apple has increased the complexity of its service assemblies and decreased their number, such that no sub-components are available.

On the other hand, used parts are becoming available, so that if you contacted a third-party servicer, they may have a used display available, such as from a Mac that drank a glass of water.
