Not able to see apple navigation in landscape mode when phone is locked

Dear Community Members

I am using an iPhone 8 updated to the latest version (iOS 16.5) as on 23 May, 2023. I am trying to use my iPhone for Navigation on the Apple Maps app. While driving, I usually tend to see the Maps in Landscape mode. However, when I set-up my navigation while in the landscape mode, and if the iPhone locks, the Apple Map automatically switches on to the portrait mode. This is very frustrating. Please suggest me the required changes.

The behavior you've described with your Apple Maps app switching to portrait on Lock Screen while phone is locked is normal and expected.
