I unsent a text message and the notification appeared and now it is no longer there

I unsent a text message (Imessage) from my iphone and it gave me the notification that it was unsent, but now the notification disappeared. What does this mean?

Not getting notification of text messages I frequently do not receive a notification of a text message, regardless of who sends it (another iPhone user or not). Is there a solution for this? I've done hard restarts of the phone with and without the message notifications enabled.

My iPhone is no longer notifying me when text messages arrive Perhaps since the latest software upgrade, my iPhone is no longer placing a "notification" message on the front screen when a new text message arrives. Notifications are turned-on in general and for the Message app in particular, yet nothing shows up.
