I took pictures on Saturday 2/4/23…

…but they are no longer in my phone, nor are they in my iCloud account. I did not delete these photos. Any idea what happened to them? More importantly, how can I recover them, if at all?

Anyone else has missing pictures from iphone? I'm using an iPhone 15ProMax and I just noticed that all the photos taken on a particular day(trip) in April are missing. I shared some with family and friends but now they are all gone from my phone. (Checked the deleted folder as well). I’m not sure when it happened, I just noticed that they were missing after the last update to 17.5.1.

Do you share your Apple ID with anyone who might have deleted them?

Do you sync your phone to iCloud Photos (not back up, sync). Go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud/iCloud photos to see if the switch is on.
