M1 Max MacBook Pro 16 Lags Everywhere SOLUTION!

I've been shopping for a new laptop and tried an M2 Pro 14 (16gb 2tb) and an M1 Max (64gb 4tb) and found the M1 Max to be laggy, but then discovered that an accessibility option I had selected may well have been the culprit.

I was initially confused about how to click and drag items on the new MacBooks (just didn't seem to function properly, intuitively) so I'd gone on a hunt an enabled this option:

System Settings>Accessibility>Pointer Control>Track Pad Options>Use Trackpad for Dragging (Enabled)

Once I disabled this option, the lag went away, and the M1 Max now appears just as snappy as the M2 14. Hope this helps! -AW
