Logic Not Recording MIDI on Aux Channels

Called them myself, spoke with first line then second line support eventually... they created a case number and both experts, could not answer what was released in this version and if any regression test is being performed before publish of a new software, however they did inform me that Multi-output is something specific and havent heard of that issue before, if I can reset Logic/Disable plugin/Create new user account etc...I did not resolve anything..

I wanted to reproduce my case. Like the majority of you, I informed Apple support of the same case of you and I sent them a video with proof, it happened the last 26, May.

Regarding the issue you reported with Logi Pro not recording on Aux channels, we have received reports of this symptoms and are currently investigating.

Further updates, if any, may be provided as a Software Update, knowledge base article or software release. However currently I have no further details concerning this.

You recommend updating software automatically, so I couldn't be able to avoid updating. One idea would be to update the previous version with a higher number of updates, so everybody would be able to continue working on our setups.

Yep it's happening to me as well. Seems like it's happening on aux tracks nested in a track stack like in Omnisphere in a multi timbral like setting

This is not accurate as I was able to confirm the bug happens regardless of the instrument loaded up. It is 100% an Apple issue!

Yes, it's possible again to record midi on the aux channels with 10.7.9.

Same thing happening to me... I left my computer on overnight for 6 hours and suddenly I open a new session and can't record any midi on aux tracks. Scouring the web trying to find a fix or version of logic to rollback to (while still being able to open my current projects).

I'm suffering the same thing. I thought they fixed the problem quickly and I am still waiting for the call from the support I requested. I'm perturbed because I have a Gig Sunday and I can not prepare the template.

I'm on the phone with Apple support (free- they call you!) and was able to to demonstrate the problem via shared screen. Literally on hold now. They are not aware of the problem but now they are! If more of us call in they will get on the ball with this. I'll let you know the results!

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Has anyone has received a helpful update from Apple?? The person I spoke to didn't understand why I was recording MIDI on AUX tracks. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

It really amazes me that THIS particular bug got through. How??!! It seems like a huge failure on the staff over at Logic, but then makes me wonder that only a few logic users really use this method of recording midi on AUX channels. I find it extremely useful on multi-output instruments. I'm not familiar with a BETTER way to record them.

Agree! There is no other option as far as I know to have a multi-channel midi instrument be paired with its own output. Been doing it this way for years! I never loved the idea, but it was the only way it worked.

It’s not NI Kontakt only. I have the same issue with EW Play.

I record and when I press stop everything dissapears from the aux track. Everything routed perfectly so not my fault. How do I get to the previews Logic version?

Luckily I saved a version of 10.6.3 so I can use that until Apple gets it together. If anyone has 10.7.7 or knows where to find it, let me know!

I also tried opening in Rosetta and same result!
