Font installation on Mac M2

Personally I never heard of 7fonts until you mentioned them but I have never had a problem with Google Fonts. Normally dbl-clicking on a font file should open Font Book and install the font. If not, dragging the font into ~/Library/Fonts works.

I just downloaded and installed a font from 7fonts. It downloaded as a .zip file and once unzipped, the .ttf installed without a problem by dbl-clicking.

Please post a picture of what you see when you hold down the option key and do Finder > Go > Library.

You should be able to put anything you want into the Fonts folder located there. If not, something is messed up on you machine. You might try a safe boot:

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Try manually dragging the font files into Library/Fonts.

You could also try dragging the files into Home/Library/Fonts. To get to Home/Library you hold down the option key while doing Finder > Go.

Are these postscript fonts? Ventura does not support them if they are.

If these font files are sitting in one of the Fonts folders, can you see them in TextEdit / Format / Font / Show Fonts / All Fonts ?

If you double click on Home/Library/Fonts, is there anything inside?

Do you get a message "Could not install font" when you manually move the files like I suggested?

Where did you download these fonts from? Tom's suggestions should work.
