I can 't install fonts on the mac from absolutely any source . The font checker does not issue errors. The installation problem looks like: "Could not install font. This may occur because of efforts to install fonts in files containing no valid fonts”

You can’t drag a font file into home/library/fonts? You should be able to put anything you want in there
Does this error pop up as soon as you try to move the file into the Fonts folder, so you can't actually move it? Can you move any other kind of file into that folder?
