That’s designed to let you use Bluetooth headsets with devices that do not have Bluetooth… Since the iphone does have Bluetooth, I don’t see the point.
No
Apple does not provide a compatibility list for the product. Twelve South Airfly does not either.
The product literature states........"Receives audio from your iPhone....." which implies that the device plugs into the headphone jack on the iPhone.
Twelve South AirFly Pro Bluetooth Transmitter - Apple
You can spend another week looking for answers, but the real bottom here is this.....you won't know how well......or if......this will work with an iPhone 6s and your hearing aids until you try it out with an iPhone 6s and your hearing aids.
Buy from Apple and you have 14 days to return the product for a refund.
If you're talking about this:--> Twelve South AirFly Pro Bluetooth Transmitter - Apple , please read the product information and the section "Compatibility".

The manufacturers of the devices in question will be your best source of information, or the relevant discussion forums for those devices.
Again, ask the manufacturer. Apple may sell the device, and they can tell you about its compatibility with Apple’s products. As for using it with other non-Apple products, you can not expect Apple to be intimately familiar with features of a 3rd party product as it relates to other 3rd party products, especially ones they do not sell.
The problem with Bluetooth is that there are number of incompatible versions which makes it difficult for a retailer to say if product A will work with product B. One strategy to solve this problem is to locate someone who has direct experience of linking these two products and asking them the result of their endeavour, hence my question on this forum.
That’s a question you’ll have to ask the TwelveSouth and the manufacturer of the hearing aids. That wouldn’t have anything to do with Apple at all.

That’s the problem! I am hoping that someone who has had experience of trying to connect an Aifly to MFi hearing aids will reply to discussion,
But why?
The iPhone 6s supports MFI hearing aids on its own. It does not need this adapter.

I am aware of this and am currently listening to BBC R3 using an iPhone 6s and a pair of LiNX Quattro HAs.
However it would be useful to be able to use my HAs with an Airfly, if that is possible, hence this question,

Why? The Airfly is an adapter to connect your hearing aids to something that doesn't have BT. What are you trying to connect your hearing aids to that doesn't have BT?

The chances that there might be someone who has the experience that you are looking for who also might happen to be be browsing this support area are just a tiny fraction above zero.
But, you can certainly wait to see if anyone replies. As a general rule, if you don't see a response within a day or two, you will not ever see a response from this site.
I have already contacted Twelve Sound and they have been informed by a number of their customers that the Airfly is incompatible with Phonak hearing aids. However due to the fact that many HA manufacturers use different protocols, this does not fully answer my question, though it is very suggestive that most HAs are incompatible.

That's good information, but not sure what this has to do with an iPhone 6s.
Sorry, the question I should have asked is do MFi hearing aids work with the Twelve South Airfly?
