As Apple sell Twelve South Airfly’s in their stores I would expect them to know what they can connect to!

That’s the problem! I am hoping that someone who has had experience of trying to connect an Aifly to MFi hearing aids will reply to discussion,
Then go ask someone in an Apple Store. This is a user forum. you are not talking to Apple.
That device is not required to connect the hearing aids to your phone.
I agree it is not an Apple store, it is however an Apple forum and someone using this forum may have have experience of this problem.
Many devices such as TV’s do not always have Bluetooth, using anAirfly plugged into one would save the neighbours the problem of enjoying the sound track as well as myself!
