the question was answered but not resolved: '' applications open themselves after sleep ''. this happened on my iMac since > 1 month now (not on my MacBook Pro).
Does somebody encounter this problem as well ?

In the Apple () menu, for the Restart…, Shutdown…, and Logout menu items, these respective dialog panels should look like the following red box to avoid applications that were open before those events, reopening on next reboot, or login.
You might also look at Settings > Desktop & Dock >Windows & Apps : Close windows when quitting an application (=⦿).
