Xcellon 7-Port USB Hub Not Working Correctly on iMac

I bought this product (Xcellon 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub) from B&H a couple of weeks ago and for some reason I'm having mounting and connectivity issues while using a 24-inch Apple iMac M1 running Ventura 13.3.1(a). The unit will mount multiple drives but not all. The led indicator comes on to show that there are 5 drives plugged into the hub but only 3 of them will mount. If I eject those 3 mounted drives it still will not see the other two. There were also issues before with a single mounted drive where, after a 5+ hours of work I might try to access it via Finder and I would get the pinwheel, have to force restart Finder, then force a reboot as the entire system would hang. I have recently updated to Ventura but not until after I received and started using this product. The issues started in Monterey and I hoped upgrading to Ventura might fix them. NOW, if I plug the hub into my Macbook (14-inch, 2021, running Monterey 12.4) all five drives will mount and be available in Finder - no problem. I have tried moving the hub among the four USB-C ports on the back of the iMac with the same result. I would REALLY appreciate any ideas on what the issue might be.

Do you have Paragon NTFS installed on your M1 iMac 24"? It can cause bizarre issues if you have an older version of Paragon NTFS installed. Either remove the software unless you need NTFS (Windows NT File System) Write support or upgrade Paragon NTFS to the latest version.
