My Face ID has stopped working on my iPhone 13 Pro Max

My face id has stopped working on my 13 pro max. I have tried resetting it. It keeps telling me to lower or raise my phone. My face is in the frame but it is not recognizing it. Then it tells me face id is not working and to try again later. I have tried restarting my phone but nothing works.
