Iphone 12 not connecting to wifi or 4G or check for updates

My wifi is working on other devices but my iPhone isn't loading anything. No apps, can't check for software updates, server not responding. 4G also won't work. I'm getting some app notifications.

I've tried turning phone off and on again, resetting network settings, switching from airplane mode and back again.

For a while before this happened I was getting notifications from Google asking me to solve a captcha due to 'high volume of traffic' coming from my phone. Could I have been hacked?

My network provider also just changed a couple of days ago from Virgin Media to 02 but I haven't had any problems before today.

Thank you, I just disconnected my VPN and it worked again!
