iPhone WiFi disconnects and reconnects, affecting web/social media performance
WiFi connection seems to have a hard time staying connected and often reads “wifi searching.”A comment below read that it may only start searching actively when you access the WiFi settings, seemingly as a cue that you’re about to switch networks. While this explanation is reasonable, I'm not entirely convinced it's the whole picture.
My phone has been glitching and moving a lot slower latey when using the web/ social media/etc. While the actual phone itself functuality works fine with everything else.
It’s as if my phone continuously disconnects and reconnects. So it has a poor connection for some reason. However, my husbands iPhone doesn't have this problem?
I've noticed that at times when my WiFi feels especially slow, the iPhone shows it is “searching for networks”. & on the contrary, when I check my wifi connection when wifi seems fine it shows I'm connected to my home network just fine. This leads me to believe that when wifi connection says searching, and wifi is slow.. Its bc its disconnecting and redirecting. Which would mean wifi was legitatmely searching and before I decided to check the settings. Meanwhile other devices being used are not having the same problem. At least not that I am aware/ have noticed. In other words Tv,Xbox, husbands iPhone, Nintendo switch- never glitch and show poor connection when my iPhone does. In fact, rarley ever does WiFi connection seem poor or slow on other devices on our network. So it seems as if it isn't a network issue but a connection issue.
I’ve observed that this behavior occurs regardless of whether my VPN is activated, but it appears to happen more frequently when I’m using it.
I’ve tried several VPN services, including Bitdefender, LifeLock, and Avast, but I found that Bitdefender significantly slowed my WiFi to the point that I had to remove it almost immediately. I’m open to any suggestions or insights into what could be causing these connectivity issues.
Additionally, I want to consider the possibility of a security breach or personal WiFi attack, especially since we discovered a recent cyber incident. However, I feel that these connectivity challenges are more indicative of a lingering issue rather than the result of that incident. Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
