iCloud Contacts and Calendar on Outlook 365 PC

My iCloud for PC app will not load (sync) Contacts and Calendars with my Outlook. iCloud drive and photos work fine. I'm running Windows 11 and Office 365 up to date version. This used to work but in the last couple of weeks it got disabled by Outlook. This has happened before and I've been able to restore it.

Outlook is not the default data file.

I've checked unchecked and rechecked the box on the app for contacts and calendars with Outlook closed. I've rebooted my machine and tried the same thing. I've uninstalled the two apple iCloud applications (iCloud and iCloud Outlook), rebooted my machine, installed the iCloud apps, rebooted my machine, logged in my iCloud account, check the box for contacts and calendars with Outlook still closed, rebooted again, opened outlook and nothing.

I think I've tried everything, but open to suggestions. I spent 3 hours with Microsoft Help to no avail.

The only thing that I can think of that has changed is Microsoft sent a out new look for Outlook.

Can anyone help me?

Follow-up: I installed an older version of iCloud for Windows (version 7.1) and got it working again. However, as mentioned in my original post, opening the calendar "tab" of Outlook is now painfully slow. Just timed it at 7.5 seconds to fully render. Without iCloud sync activated, it's more like 1.5 seconds.

Hi,

I saw your post and it does seem that we have the same issue. I am simply reinstalling Outlook and iCloud for Windows and, even though I can see the iCloud Add-In and it is checked it just does not seem to be loading in properly and there are no iCloud calendars or contacts showing.

I have Microsoft Outlook for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2305 Build 16.0.16501.20074) 64-bit

I have not tried the new Outlook option yet. Have you?

As you say, this is really frustrating.

I just bought a new HP laptop (Windows 11) for my wife. I decided to purchase Microsoft Family 365. In the past I purchased a license from the Resaler and used the Outlook like 2016. Everything worked fine. It came with a trial version of Microsoft Family 365 on it. However, i sent a link to my wife Laptop after I purchased Microsoft Family 365 from the Microsoft Store. I click on the link and it started the install and it went fast (guessing it didn't have much to load). It came up and it made a connection to her Gmail account just fine. I then closed Outlook and loaded iCloud for PC (The newest version). I loaded the newest version that has the iCloud Drive, Photos, Contacts and Calendars, Bookmarks, and Passwords from The Microsoft Store. I signed in with my Apple ID and password just fine. All I wanted was iCloud and Contacts and Calendars so I unchecked the rest of them. I clicked the Apply button and the screen stated it was loading and stated it was finished very fast. I opened Outlook 365 and the contacts and calendar where not present. I tried this several times and got the same results. Does anyone know if this is fixed or how to get this working?

Thanks

Hello All,

Apple support, Wayne, took the information we generated to engineering and they have located the problem. He said they will fix the problem and the solution will probably be part of an update. He didn't say when, but the fix is coming.

I'm pretty happy with Apple support compared to Microsoft. The were more knowledgeable and focused on the locating the problem. When it got hard, they didn't try to close the case like Microsoft does.

Nevermind...I saw what you were talking about. The updated version is actually worse than the last. Whenever you try to configure the Outlook interface, iCloud throws an error saying that the installation is damaged and tells you to repair it. Which doesn't work (shocker). Even performed a complete uninstall/reinstall.

After many years of battling with this piece of garbage, I think I'm done with iCloud on Windows. It's hopeless, and likely intentionally bad.

Still broken. Same result as everyone else - install iCloud, select Contacts and Calendars With Outlook, click Apply, runs to completion, says success, iCloud Add-in installed and active in Outlook, but no iCloud calendar or contact list appears in Outlook.
