I have macbook m1 pro 14 inch, it works very well but when i do heavy jobs on it like programming, the activity monitor shows that the cpu idle is about 75 percent, If this percentage was used i think that the job would be done faster than befor! Is this normal ?
If the code you are writing is “Single Threaded code”, then your program is only going to use 1 CPU core.
Writing “Parallel programming” code is several orders of magnitude more difficult.
Feel free to Google the quoted strings for more information about those styles of programming.
Sounds normal. Apparently what you are running only requires 25% of the CPUs time.
You're welcome. No. the OS handles CPU usage automatically. It's not user adjustable.
Thanks for replying. I was wondring if there is a way to wanna ask if there a way to leverge the idle percentage of cpu.
