Apple mail doesnt let me choose my email address

If I want to send an email to

myself, on my iPhone, apple mail doesn’t remember my current email address (xx@gmail.com).

This gmail address is saved on “My Card” and within my Contacts.

Apple Mail does, however, remember my old xx@googlemail.com address, which is not saved within my contacts.

I would like mail to remember my current email address and not the old one

There are two ways you can address this.

Options 1 and 2 are given below.

Option 1:

In the Mail app, you can write, send, and schedule emails from any of your email accounts.

Option 2:

It also depends on where you are choosing the new mail option. See the pic below which is self-explanatory.
