Notification volume on my iPhone is very low

Has Apple found a solution to this? I've been calling and having this issue for over a year. It does the same to GPS. Almost got in accident due to almost missing my exit from not hearing GPS notifications

Anybody here get any help on this yet? I've posted on another thread similar to this I believe, & nothing there so far, & I've tried directly w/apple & no fix yet. Even when text volume is all the way up, text tones just won't play loud like the ringtones. What's really crazy, is the one custom tone, out of many, that phone was on during last years 17 update still plays loudly still, but all the others, which there are dozens, don't. Please apple, I can see there are so many dealing w/this, any help is greatly appreciated!

Creating cool custom ringtones is not the problem, that’s easy to do, it’s the fact that text tones, are somehow now internally set to a lower volume w/out an option to raise it w/any levels/nobs/controls etc. perhaps this is not a thread for issue I’m having, we’ll await some help

Same here. Since the new update some ringer options are gone for texts and all text sounds are substantially quieter than before. Apple needs to fix this asap. I’m a surgical resident and I’m now missing text messages when I’m on call.

Have you happen to find any decent fix on this yet? I’ve sent videos into Apple, reported it many times to them etc, & still no help on getting volume louder for custom text tones, even the factory ones, It’s been months! Please let me know, I’m sure there’s so many of us still out there w/this same struggle, let’s help eachother out

It would seem that my IPhone X is revolting!! The volume for notifications and my morning alarm have gone to a whisper. So much so that I cannot hear it if it’s sitting next to me. I’ve shut the “control with buttons” OFF. Really, even playing videos, YouTube, TikTok… no joy unless it’s full screen. Please Help!!

Anybody received any permanent help from Apple on this yet? They haven’t been able to help me, been over a year now. I flat out, am unable to set a custom text tone @ an equal volume as a ringtone, kinda sad, any help appreciated

Can we please get some real help on this? Of course, all of us have done the basic adjusting volume, & all other simple troubleshooting etc, don't you see the problem is much bigger than that?? It's a big problem, when we go to set the text tone, right off the bat, it's way lower, compared to the ringtone, whether it's the same tone, or different one. So the same lowered volume it allows us to set, alerts us the same way, very low, un cool. The ringtone volume is just fine. No support from Apple, or no bug fix on any update has fixed this I believe for a couple years now. There's got to be a genius out there, who can help fix this, these phones are $1000! Please somebody help!

Have you been able to get any help on this yet? It's been really bothering me, having a low fixed volume for text tones & other alerts! As you've said, ringer volume is just fine, & easily adjustable w/volume knob, but others it's not, & very low in volume. Apple has not been able to give me any help on this for over a year now, any help is appreciated

Any help on this yet? Anybody? It's pretty sad, nearly a $1000 phone, we can't get help, from apple, having our alert tones adjust to higher volumes, as our ringtones do, thanks for any movement on this issue

I suspect that their point, when they made that post about ten months ago, was that this is not an issue seen in all/most phones. Or, perhaps they were, like everyone else in this thread, sharing their experiences.

There seems to be no solution to the iPhone notification sounds being inaudible. Plenty of users raise this particular difficulty online. But Apple remains silent on the matter. Just decided to ditch my iPhone and go Android. Problem solved!

iPad Pro 11” M4, 1TB, Cellular, 2024. Text tone “note” is barely audible. The ringer volume is 100%, and I’ve tried everything, nothing works. This has been a bug on my devices for years now, but the new iPad Pro on iPadOS 18.2 is the worse. It’s basically useless for alerts. Apple, please fix this! Text tones are too quiet on iPad Pro!

Thanks for taking the time to try and help resolve the issue, but the solutions offered are the basic steps that we’ve all tried and are having no luck. Going by the number of people on this post - 4 pages long - it’s something Apple needs to fix. Do they get your feedback in this regard? Is anyone actually listening? 🙏

Still, no fix in iPadOS 18.3. iMessage “note” notification tone continues to be barely audible at 100% ringer volume on a new iPad Pro 11” M4.

Was this an intentional “feature”? Maybe so Apple’s products don’t deserve others in public?
