Keyboard ipad(6th gen)

I have tried everything to prevent my ipad keyboard from popping up when I don't want it to. I have always used my Logi-tech keyboard for all typing....the ipad keyboard for password access. I have turned everything off related to the ipad keyboard....nothing seems to work.

iPad keyboard pops up while using Bluetooth keyboard so I can’t see what I’m typing. IPad keyboard pops up when I’m using my Bluetooth keyboard. It has worked great in the past, with no issues. Suddenly, it’s not working. I tried turning everything off, disconnecting, etc. That didn’t fix it, so I bought a new keyboard but I’m having the same issue. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it?

deactivate auto onscreen keyboard issue. this is an reply rather than a question. i could not type on my "physical" keyboard and i could not turn off the on screen keyboard. i saw a response somewhere that pointed out there are three dots on the back of the ipad which align with three small pins on the case that includes the physical keyboard. i cleaned both surfaces and made sure the points were firmly connected and accurately aligned and it now works!
