"Approve iPhone" message

Hello! My new MacBook CONSTANTLY asks me to approve my iPhone.

I recently upgraded from my 6 year old MacBook Air, and it's been doing this ever since. SUPER annoying!! I'll get a tonne of messages every time I'm on my computer. My Keychain is turned on.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.2

Hello DeannasMacBookPro,

Just to confirm, are you being asked to enter a verification code when this happens? If so, please check out the information from this link, which explains when you may be asked to enter a verification code, and outlines the available options: Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication

Whenever you sign in with your Apple ID on a new device or browser, you'll confirm your identity with your password plus a six-digit verification code. There are a few ways you can get a verification code. You can use the code displayed on your trusted device, get a text or phone call, or generate a code from your trusted device.

If you use iOS 11.3 or later on your iPhone, you might not need to enter a verification code. In some cases, your trusted phone number can be automatically verified in the background on your iPhone. It’s one less thing to do, and your account is still protected with two-factor authentication.

Thanks!

Hello DeannasMacBookPro,

Thank you for replying with a screenshot.

To find out more on this, please start up your Mac in safe mode. Safe mode runs a quick disk check and then prevents a number of items from loading so it will help to rule out possible causes for the issue: Start up your Mac in safe mode

Once in safe mode, please test to check if this same issue occurs there. If you do not notice the issue, restart your Mac normally before testing again.

Please reply back if you need more help.

Cheers!

Hi Brittany! This doesn't seem to be the issue. It just asks me to "approve" it, which I do EVERY time, and the message comes up constantly. Like MULTIPLE times at once and then at least every few minutes while I am using my Mac. I've attached a photo so you can see what i mean. It's literally driving me CRAZY!!! Actually INSANE. It interferes with my work/job and even comes up while I'm on zoom calls/meetings. Please help! This photo was after I closed about 10 of these pop ups already.
