I’m trying to make an online purchase with Apple Pay
it keeps referring to Update Shipping Address, when I click on that it says my phone number is invalid. Which it is not. I’ve checked in settings and the phone number is correct

Update your shipping information on your iPhone.
Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > transaction defaults > address - update as needed
Wallet app > tap on any card > tap three dots in corner > tap address - edit as needed for all cards
Settings > Apple ID (your name at the top) > payment & shipping > address - edit as needed.
It was the opposite for me! I added the +1 before my number and it finally worked :)
Had the same issue on Target app. The reason? They don’t accept Apple Pay. Only Credit or Debit cards.
Once I entered my payment info into their app’s wallet, the purchase went through easily. Sucks though.
Just click on “update shipping address”… click on your phone number. A check will appear. You don’t have to change your phone number… just make sure to check it and it will work after that. It’s frustrating for sure
You have to retype everything EVEN if the information is correct. You need to type in your phone number, billing address, and every field that is displayed. Just re-enter your information.
delete or edit phone number with and use the following format of +1(xxx)xxx-xxxx instead
this is the only solution!!!!
I just used Applepay on target’s app today.. when it says “update address”, click on it and then select your phone number. Your phone number will replace your shipping address and then you can place your online order.
in order to fix it you just have to reselect everything for example for ur number slot just click it so it’s checked off and same for email and shipping address. they need to all have a blue check then it will be fixed!
It did this to me and i just retyped in my phone number and then it let me!
!!! I don’t know why but if you add your email address, it works!!!
What solved the issue for me was adding an email contact
You have to make sure all your information is showing in your wallet enter phone number and email and everything and it fixes it
I was frustrated by this same issue, then after several attempts was able to “choose” my number (a checkmark appeared). So odd! Maybe that’ll help.
These long threads get to be an issue, because people that have similar issues, but not exactly the same. When they try to fix their slightly different issue, of course, it doesn't work and the thread continues to grow.
