iTunes not adding songs to playlists in Windows 11 (Version 12.12.9.4)

I've been trying it for almost a YEAR or more, ever since Win 11 came I loved the interface and jumped but ALWAYS had to go BACK to Win 10 THANKS to this horrible iTunes glitch that till today I suffered as I never really expected a lot from these forums but out of SHEER FRUSTRATION I am penning it all down

So here is what happens, ANY Windows 11 version old new updated blahblah no worries PLUS ANY iTunes version 64 bit 32 bit you name it that installs (I usually do so from Windows Store) the SAME result, you make a new playlist, name it, add a folder from the hard drive using iTunes menu (as drag and drop doesn't work in Win 11 MAYBE that IS the problem in iTunes interface too?) nevertheless the songs DO get added to the SONGS folder but NOTHING NADA ZILCH in the playlist! Now I have MULTIPLE playlists and hence this is a pain in the arse!

Anyone experienced this or cares to answer? Please do as otherwise I'm happy with Win 11, you can also email me on **** or whatsapp **** would love APPLE SUPPORT to contact me and explain the obvious I already have above, assuming they're brainless idiots :) which they probably are, but I may be wrong, optimistically speaking!

Your approach is possibly not the best way to get support, but I'll have a go. (As you can see, the moderators have removed your personal information, because it's a bad idea to post such on an open forum like this, you'll get all manner of nonsense emails if you do. As long as you did not turn off the notification option, replies to your questions will be emailed to you and the link in that email brings you to here.)

To address your issue:

Are you creating Regular Playlists, or Smart Playlists? In the menu structure (shown below), the Regular Playlist is New/ Playlist (or CTRL+N):

And the Playlist's icons are shown below:

You can only drag songs into a Regular Playlist
Smart Playlists automatically populate according to the rules that you set. You cannot drag songs into a Smart Playlist
You cannot drag songs into a Playlist Folder. You can drag both Regular and Smart Playlist into a Playlist folder

Honestly what is it that you're saying? You're saying that I should create a regular playlists and drag songs into it? Isn't this how it's been done for as long as I can recall? Maybe you failed to grasp my question and focused on your expression, let me explain, once again, and please don't time don't assume anything, I do exactly the same thing, first off dragging files is NOT (repeat no / nada etc) in Windows 11 (perhaps you're not aware of that OS? PRECISELY where I have a problem) now assuming you get past this, EVEN after you create a playlists and go into it and attempt to ADD MUSIC / FILES to it from itunes the playlists remains EMPTY BUT the songs ARE added to the main database of songs (the primary folder, songs I think it's called)

So Comprende my friend? What you explained was not even remotely what I was looking for nor relevant, but I thank you for investing your time, you had no obligation to!

I don't know you, so any assumptions by me were made in the absence of sufficient information from you about the nature of the problem and your experience of iTunes, so that I might help you as quickly and efficiently as possible. Perhaps the information that you say is in your first post was lost amongst the unnecessary text (both fluff and the aggression) that you insisted on including in your missive.

If you read my response carefully, you will notice that:

- it contained a question which was intended to gather further information from you, that might help me or anyone else here to assist you
- the question was designed in such a way as to get an informative answer from you no matter what your level of experience with iTunes, while at the same time letting me know what that level might be

Perhaps you should re-read - and take in, the first thing I said to you, up to the comma.
