Disable iPad swipe gestures

I’m getting an iPad 9 (which, importantly for this discussion, has a Home button) for my grandmother who is used to an Android tablet without swipe gestures. Is there a way to have the iPad 9 only use the Home button instead of swipe gestures for going home, multitasking, etc.?

While some supplementary touch gestures (such as the corner-swipe gestures for triggering screenshot and QuickNote) can be disabled, the majority of iOS/iPadOS control gestures cannot be fully inhibited.

While iPad9 has a physical Home Button, the equivalent touch gestures (upward swipe) remain both active and accessible. From a learning perspective, becoming accustomed to the touch/swipe gestures is recommended.
